Now that the overall rankings (for Round 1) have been decided, it will
soon be up to the top 15 contestants to see which idea reigns
over them all.
Those in that bracket will now be asked to expand on their
treatments to give us a better idea of your concept. Once
entries from that round are in, visitors can vote for the best
expanded treatment to receive the first place prize (to be
decided). Given
that some script ideas need elaboration to fully grasp the
points (of the story) at stake, this is the chance to prove
your ground. It is not required for players to submit an
expansion to their pitch, but those who don't will not be
assisted any in the probability of winning. In that specific
circumstance, we will simply go off your already submitted
entry.
For newcomers, Script Pitch is a contest giving you a
chance to submit your movie/script ideas and compete with
other players. Each (qualified) entry is graded and analyzed
briefly by the hosts (Lee Tistaert & Jason Kaplan) and ranked
amongst the others. At that point, the top players will be
given the chance to further prove their ideas with an
expansion to their script treatments of which visitors can
vote for their favorite concept. A prize will be given to the
actual winner. Round 1 began in the beginning of February and
concluded on February 28, with the next (treatment) submitting
round going to be in session once the expanded treatments (for
Round 1) have been received.
