About a mentally retarded person that gets picked to be on a reality show to only be made fun of. But the show becomes a hit because of him and he becomes the most wanted person in Hollywood to be in movies and tv shows.

This would’ve gotten a rating had you elaborated even further, regardless of the obviously politically incorrect general idea you have. Considering Johnny Knoxville has The Ringer lined up this fall, which is sort of in the same vein as this story, I don’t think something like this is necessary.

Even though I want to see The Ringer, the premise for Mental Reality could end up being really "wrong" in nature. There’s "just having fun" as Ringer looks to do, and then there’s "inappropriate," which this idea might be.
